48 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in South Dakota Tuesday

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Officials confirmed 48 additional COVID-19 cases in South Dakota Tuesday, though active cases decreased slightly.

The new cases bringing total known cases in South Dakota to 7,572. Active cases cases dropped by eight to 864.

There were no new deaths reported, as the state’s total remained at 109.

Current hospitalizations fell by one to 62. Three percent of the state’s COVID-19 dedicated hospital beds are currently occupied.

The state processed 786 tests Tuesday, just over six percent of which came back positive.
