BROOKINGS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -Matt Dentlinger enjoyed the game Monday night as he scored 21 points to lead the way.

The Jackrabbits of SDSU finally got a chance to get back on the floor Monday night at Frost Arena in a 93-50 win over Mount Marty.

They start the Summit League schedule Friday night when Western Illinois comes to Brookings for games Friday and Saturday. So this was a good tune-up for Matt Dentlinger and his teammates since they hadn’t been on the floor since December 12th when they played in the Dakota Classic at the Pentagon. ”I think we were all just pretty excited to be back playing in front of the fans, some of the fans at Frost. And yes, just excited overall,” says Dentlinger.

Head Coach Eric Henderson says, ”So I thought we did knock a little bit of the rust off. But I was really impressed with our integrity throughout the game and how we played especially on the defensive end and when we can get stops and makes some stops in a row our offense can be pretty special.”

The Jacks are 6-3 after the win Monday night... it was a game that featured great balance for the home team without Doug Wilson and Noah Freidel in the line-up...
