SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Two people are in custody after police found $45,000 worth of meth during a traffic stop on Tuesday.

Aberdeen Police say a K9 unit alerted its handler to the presence of drugs during a traffic stop. Authorities discovered a pound of methamphetamine, which they say has a street value of at least $45,000.

THC wax, over $6,000 in cash, and a handgun were also found in the vehicle.

Police say charges are pending against two people. Their identities have not yet been released.
