Coyotes ready to play their best in Summit League Volleyball Tournament

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -The Summit League Volleyball Tournament starts tomorrow at the Sanford Pentagon with semi-finals and for the Coyotes it’s a re-match with a team that beat them twice by scores of 3-2 on their home floor.

And it was recent so there’s still a bitter taste in their mouth for the Roos who feature the Player of the Year in the conference.

The Coyotes have 4 players who were named All Summit League today and they feel good about their game heading into the semi’s tomorrow.

Junior setter Madison Jurgens says, ”I think everything is on the line at this point. You just have to go out and take every point like it’s your last so I just think playing all out every single game, we know it’s going to be a hard match. All of the matches in the tournament are. So I think just going all out is going to be the most important thing.”

Sophomore outside hitter Elizabeth Juhnke says, ”I think that’s what is really cool about our team is that we control a lot of the matches we play and we think going in confidently going into this next game it’s going to be us.”

Head coach Leanne Williamson says, ”And being in Sioux Falls I think it will be nice having some of our fans behind us. Our family has been great all year traveling to everything that they’ve been able to. But then having some of those limited additional tickets available will be a positive for some of those loyal fans to be able to come and support us through the journey as well.”

The Coyotes have shown at times this season how good they can be. Like when they beat 14th-ranked Creighton 3-2 on the road. They hope that’s how they play tomorrow night at the Pentagon with the winner facing either Denver or Omaha on Saturday for a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
