MITCHELL, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Mike Lindell will visit Mitchell Monday to launch his new social media platform.

Lindell is holding a rally at the Corn Palace at 6 p.m. to unveil his website called “Frank.”

Entrance to the rally will be free, according to a post on Former Saturday Night Live cast member Joe Piscopo will also take part in some capacity.

Lindell initially gained fame as the CEO of Minnesota-based “MyPillow,” but made a name for himself in politics as one of former President Donald Trump’s most ardent supporters.

The conservative commentator was banned from many social media sites for spreading unsubstantiated claims about the November election. Lindell has since touted Frank as a free-speech alternative to traditional social media. The site attempted a launch last month but suffered technical glitches.

Lindell announced Mitchell as the site for Frank’s official launch on the “Bannon War Room” podcast late last month. He said he chose South Dakota because he is fond of Gov. Kristi Noem and her approach to the pandemic response.

The website appeared active as of Monday morning. It features several videos and articles presenting conspiracy theories regarding the 2020 election, as well as links to several conservative podcasts. The site also includes “Lindell TV,” which appears to be a livestream dedicated to conservative politics. On Monday morning, it featured an anchor in a studio quoting and discussing excerpts from Lindell’s book, “What are the Odds?” as well as a live interview with Lindell who appeared to be at the Corn Palace.

While Lindell has promoted the site as a social media platform, it is unclear what elements of the websites are able to be interacted with by users.
