Downtown Hartford farmers market returns for the summer
HARTFORD, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The farmers market is back in Downtown Hartford for the third year. It is on Main Street in downtown once a month. More than 20 vendors are at each market.
It goes from 5:00 PM until 8:30 PM. Each market features live music and handcrafted and homegrown vendors.
The market will be the first Thursday of every month in June, July, August, and September as well as a bonus market at the end of September.
Something that’s new this year is more activities for the kids. The vice president of Downtown Hartford Inc., Callie Tuschen, said they couldn’t really have the activities last year because of COVID-19, so they’ve really stepped it up this year to keep the kids more entertained.
Food will also be available at each market. At the first one in June, The Big Orange Food Truck will be there along with the Hartford Boy Scouts selling food.
