SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -The Canaries are playing good baseball after a slow start and Sioux Falls native Logan Landon is a big reason why, just like last summer when he led his team to the championship series.

And #6 is liking this year’s version of the Birds so far. ”I think we’ve got a really good squad this year. We’ve got some good pitching, we’ve got a lot of good hitters back and got some guys who can swing the bat so. That’s a good thing about the Sioux falls ballpark, it’s a good place to hit the baseball. I think we’re trying to push it over the top like we did last year and get to a championship and hopefully win one this year,” says Landon.

Landon and his teammates have a winning record so far this season despite the fact that they don’t have a couple of those big bats they had last year as both Tomscha and Coulter who are both in AAA. They are back at the Birdcage starting Friday night against Houston.
