VERMILLION, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The college sports season concludes for our local teams next week at the NCAA National Track & Field meet in Eugene, Oregon, and the University of South Dakota will have plenty of representation at “Track Town USA”.

The Coyotes are sending five to Eugene next week-Parker native and senior Zack Anderson in high jump, and pole vaulters Ethan Bray, Marshall Faurot, Helen Falda and Gen Hirata.

Some, like Anderson who hit the Olympic qualifying mark of 7′5 earlier this season, have been there before and will be representing USD for the last time. Others are making their first trip to the famous facility in Oregon. There’s plenty of excitement, yet a lack of nerves, heading to the biggest meet of their careers.

It all begins Wednesday for USD with Bray and Faurot competing in the men’s pole vault at 7:30 central standard time, followed a day later by Falda, Hirata and the rest of the women’s pole vault at 6 PM.

Finally on Friday at 6:30 Zack Anderson will wrap up his brilliant USD career in the high jump finals.
