MITCHELL, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Citing the desire to be closer to family near his native Watertown, Todd Neuendorf resigned today as head coach at Mitchell and has accepted the same position at Hamlin High School pending board approval on June 10th.

After winning more than 200 games and a state title in a 11 years at Roncalli, Neuendorf took over the tradition rich yet rebuilding Kernal program in 2017. Though he leaves with a 25-62 mark in four seasons, the Kernals turned things around last year with a 15-9 record and first State Tournament apperance in nine years.

His successor has a loaded team returning led by fifth all-time leading scorer Caden Hinker.

The Chargers went 11-10 last year and haven’t been to state since 1993.
