ABERDEEN, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Clayton Cosentino and Jake Goldowski scored third period goals to lift the Aberdeen Wings to a 5-3 victory over the Bismarck Bobcats in game one of the NAHL Robertson Cup Central Division Finals on Friday night in Aberdeen.

The Wings take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series and will host game two tomorrow night at 7:15 PM.

Despite the Bobcats having more rest due to the Wings having played on Sunday in a winner-take-all fifth game of their semifinal series with Minot (winning 4-3 in overtime), the home team came out flying. Will Arquiett scored 1:39 into the game followed less than five minutes later by Christian Abrams making it 2-0.

Bismarck would score late in the first period to trail 2-1 after one, but Payton Matsui answered with a goal at 19:24 of the second period to give the Wings a 3-1 lead. Luke Gramer and Austin Schwartz scored in the third period to tie things up with 10:07 to play. Cosentino scored the go-ahead and eventual game-winning goal just ten seconds later.

Aberdeen goalie Jake Sibell stopped 26 shots while Ian Shane saved 29 for Bismarck.
