SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - A southeast Sioux Falls home and garage are damaged after an early morning fire Tuesday.

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Steve Brunette says it started at the home on the 700 block of E. 28th Street just after 1 a.m.

When crews arrived they found the garage and back of the home on fire. They extinguished the main fire in the home and detached garage in 30 minutes. Fire personnel remained on scene for an additional 3 hours sifting through the rubble to extinguish small fires.

Officials say everyone was able to safely get out of the home before crews arrived.

There were no injuries.
