Reese Jansa enjoys shooting low scores like she did in the State “AA”
Jansa sets state record with 8-under total in “AA”
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -Harrisburg’s Reese Jansa broke Kim Kaufman’s all-time record yesterday at the Girls “AA” Golf Tournament at Bakker Crossing in Sioux Falls. Reese shot a 66 Monday and held a big lead. And shots like the one she hit on the par 3 11th which almost went in, helped her shoot a 68 yesterday and finish the two days 8 under par.
Sometimes shooting a great score in the first round can add pressure. But not for Jansa! She was excited to do the same thing on Tuesday. ”I would say it wasn’t too scary. I mean I love going low, in fact going low is like my favorite thing. So I don’t think I had too many nerves. I was more nervous the first day just because I was trying to see what I could do,” says Jansa.
Reese is now 28 under par for her last 9 competitive rounds so what she did should come as no surprise. Congrats to her and also the O’Gorman Knights who made it 4 straight team titles.
