SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Another Sioux Falls community pool is set to open, but some are remaining closed due to a lack of lifeguards.

Kuehn Park Pool will open to the public on Saturday, according to Parks and Recreation Administrative Manager Jackie Nelson.

Frank Olson Pool will open for swimming lessons next week, but the pool itself remains closed to the public. McKennan Wading Pool will also remain closed. Nelson said the city has yet to hire enough lifeguards to open these pools.

More information about the city’s pools, including details on how to get a season pass, are available on the city’s website. Anyone interested in applying for a lifeguard position can apply here.
