SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -The Sioux Falls Sunfish missed their inaugural season in the Expedition League because of the pandemic. So are extra excited to be playing for the first time this summer and Wednesday night was just their 2nd game at Ronken Field.

The Sunfish jumped out early to a 4-0 lead after 2 inning as Dylan “Cricket” Danielson ripped an RBI single in the 3-run uprising in the second inning. And with Caleb Kranz mowing down the Trappers with K’s it appeared that the home team was on it’s way to win number 4 in 12 games.

But the booming bat of Joseph Bramanti got Pierre going when he blasted one off the right field fence scoring two teammates as the Trappers rallied to score the game winning run in the 9th for a 5-4 win. The same two teams meet again on Thursday night at the Augustana diamond.
