Police: Man fired gun at passing truck in central Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Sioux Falls Police are investigating reported gunshots in central Sioux Falls overnight.

Police say just before 2 am Friday, gunshots were reported near 12th Street and Summit Avenue. Police say a white pick-up was driving in the area when a man standing outside pulled out a handgun and began firing at the truck. Police found six shell casings in the area.

Police say both the truck and the man who reportedly fired the gun had left the area by the time officers arrived. Police were able to get vague descriptions of the suspect from witnesses.

No damage or injuries were reported.
