SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - On Sunday at about 11:30 p.m. in the 200 block of North Spring Avenue, a 25-year-old woman was walking with her 6-year-old daughter, and a 41-year-old man. The man noticed a toy gun laying in the boulevard and picked it up to look at it when someone from a nearby house started yelling at him and accusing him of trying to steal the toy. About six more people came out of the house, and according to the victims, they became aggressive.

The woman pulled out pepper spray and started spraying the crowd, at which point the man who started yelling at the beginning of the incident pulled out a gun and shot her in the calf. The injury was non-life-threatening. 35-year-old Dwight Kendell Green of Sioux Falls was arrested for one count of Aggravated Assault.
