SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The South Dakota Ballet is preparing for its gala performance on Thursday at the Washington Pavilion in Downtown Sioux Falls. It will start at 7:00 PM and is called “Only Human.”

The show will feature 10 artists from professional ballet and contemporary dance companies from all over the world. In the 10 days leading up to the event, local kids have been learning a piece of choreography that they will open the show with.

Madeleine Scott started the South Dakota Ballet in 2019. It’s the state’s first professional ballet company and a non-profit that hopes to inspire, empower, connect, and educate the community.

The gala performance is Thursday at 7:00 PM at the Washington Pavilion. Tickets are between $35 and $35.
