South Dakota DCI investigating death, vehicle fire in Clay County
VERMILLION, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - State officials are investigating a vehicle fire and unattended death in southeast South Dakota.
The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation says the incident was discovered Tuesday in rural Clay County.
DCI Director David Natvig said the investigation is centered around a “vehicle fire and death,” but did not provide any further details. He said there is no threat to the public, and that investigators are not looking for any suspects.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the South Dakota Highway Patrol is assisting in the investigation.
