SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -- A Wind Advisory and a High Wind Warning will be in effect for parts of northern and central South Dakota today. Wind gusts in between 50 and 60 mph will be possible in that part of the region.

As the wind dies down for tonight, some isolated showers will be possible mainly in northern South Dakota. Sunshine will be back throughout the region as breezy conditions stick around with wind gusts ranging between 25 and 35 mph. Another round of quick rain will move through Saturday night and into Sunday mainly along and south of I-90. This won’t bring heavy rain and it’s going to be dry by the afternoon. Highs will be in the 70′s this weekend.

Heading into next week, sunshine will continue for Monday with highs in the 70′s, but it’s going to be a more active week next week with multiple chances for showers and thunderstorms. Our next chance will be back for Tuesday and Wednesday and then while we’ll get a break on Thursday we’ll have more chances for rain on Friday and next weekend.

Below normal temperatures are favored for next week with highs only getting into the lower 70′s and more mid to upper 60′s by next weekend.
