SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -- A few showers and storms will be persisting through this evening. An isolated severe storm can’t be ruled out especially closer to the South Dakota/Nebraska state line. Everything will move east as we head into the overnight hours.

An isolated shower/storm can’t be ruled out for Friday, but much of the day should remain dry as temperatures get into the upper 70s. Isolated chances for showers and storms will persist throughout the weekend as well. It’s one of those cases where it’s not going to rain everywhere nor will it rain all day. High temperatures will warm up into the 80′s across the area and remain there through the weekend.

Next week, the warmer temperatures aren’t going away just yet with highs remaining in the 80′s and even some parts of central and western South Dakota will get into the lower 90′s. Most of next week will be dry, although Tuesday evening there will be a chance for showers and storms. Sunshine is favored for the middle to end of next week.
