SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -- After some rain this morning, some spotty showers will linger in parts of eastern South Dakota and stretch into western Minnesota for this evening.

Cloud cover will clear for some this evening especially in central and western South Dakota, but clouds will begin to build in again throughout the day Saturday. Warmer temperatures are on the way as the wind picks up. Expect a breezy day for both Saturday and Sunday. Gusts will be as high as 35 mph. Highs will be in the 70s Saturday with mid 60s to mid 70s Sunday. Lows fall back into the 40s.

The trend of dry weather looks to continue into next week with a clear to partly cloudy sky. Highs begin the week in the 60s to low 70s, but will climb back into the mid 70s to low 80s by the end of the week. As we close September and begin October next week, it’s going to be above normal for temperatures and precipitation will be at a minimum.
