RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Three weeks after conducting air strikes in Iraq and Syria, Ellsworth B-1 bombers deploy to another area of contention.

Two B-1 bombers from Ellsworth Air Force Base landed at a Swedish air base Friday to take part in a bomber task force exercise.

The 28th Bomb Wing bombers will be integrated with the Swedish armed forces, NATO allies, and other international partners to “synchronize capabilities and assure security commitments across the U.S. European Command area of responsibility,” according to an Air Force news release.

The Air Force did not say how long the crews will be in Sweden.
