Sioux Falls City Council to revisit ‘no candy’ rule at parades

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Tuesday night, the Sioux Falls City Council will discuss a proposal that could allow parade participants to hand out candy during celebrations.

In the past, city leaders have hinted at possible safety concerns as the reason behind this current rule, which was put in place in the ‘90s.

Councilwoman Sarah Cole will introduce a first reading on the topic Tuesday night at Carnegie Hall.
