Pet food companies donate thousands of dog food bags to Sioux Falls animal shelters

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Roxi & Co. and NutriSource Pet Foods recently donated a massive supply of pet food to support rescue animals across the Sioux Falls area.

The donation includes 6,541 bags of dog food, valued at $92,275.59.

The food will be distributed to four local Sioux Falls rescue organizations:

• Sioux Falls Area Humane Society
• Rescue Network
• Sioux Empire Pit Rescue
• Dakota Dachshund Rescue

Roxi & Co., a locally owned pet business in Sioux Falls, reached out to NutriSource, a medium-sized pet food company based in Minnesota, which regularly partners with small businesses.

“This is the largest supplier donation we’ve ever been part of,” said Telly Rollinger, owner of Roxi & Co. “We reached out to NutriSource hoping for some food to share with local rescues—and they delivered far beyond what we imagined."

Distribution to the four rescue organizations will begin immediately.
