Hills Beaver Creek is extra motivated for Saturday after losing in title game last year

HILLS, MN (Dakota News Now) -The Patriots of Hills Beaver Creek are having as much fun as any team in Minnesota. We told you last week how selfless this team is.

But that doesn’t mean they don’t have talent. Future Jackrabbit Micah Bush is a finalist for the Mr. Football award. And this is a group of players that really believes in each other which makes them very dangerous to play.

HBC Senior QB Jamin Metzger says, “Yeah I mean the last 2 years we’ve come up short in the state playoffs, but I mean it just put a little chip on our shoulder just coming in an knowing that we’ve got unfinished business and that we’ve got more stuff to do.”

HBC Head Coach Rex Metzger says, “You know these guys have just embraced the process of just getting better. From when we lost that last game in the state championship they went to work. And they value the sense of just getting better.”

The Patriots can beat you a lot of ways. And this group will be extra motivated after losing in the state championship game last year.
