Aaron first moved to Sioux Falls in 2013 to accept a job as a weather producer at KSFY, eventually being promoted to Weekend Meteorologist. After a brief stint outside of the broadcast industry, Aaron accepted a job as Morning Meteorologist at KDLT in 2018 and stayed on as KDLT and KSFY merged into Dakota News Now.
Aaron is originally from the Wichita, Kansas metro area, which helps explain his love of weather. Growing up, he would see and experience all forms of severe weather ranging from tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in the spring to ice and snowstorms in the winter.
Wanting to pursue weather as a career, Aaron went to the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk!) and got into broadcast meteorology, and accepted internships in Wichita and Kansas City.
When Aaron isn't out chasing storms, you can catch him rolling a few frames at the local bowling alleys and grabbing a bite to eat at one of Sioux Falls's many fantastic restaurants!
