Connor Matteson comes to us from a station in Rapid City, South Dakota, but before moving to us from the Mount Rushmore State he grew up in Fresno, California. In his hometown, he obtained a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism at California State University Fresno.
Connor has covered stories ranging from the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally to a sinkhole that uncovered a forgotten mine beneath a neighborhood. One of the main reasons he wanted to move to Alaska was for the outdoors; he loves to backpack, hike, and just travel wherever he can.
Besides being in love with nature, he is also a world traveler who has traveled to 15 different countries. Overall, Connor is excited about being in his dream city of Anchorage to be able to tell the communities stories.
