Jenna LeMair is an anchor and reporter at Dakota News Now.
She earned her degree in Broadcast Journalism at St. Cloud State University. She spent her time there on dance team, winning a national championship in 2016, and working for UTVS, the local student-run TV station. She also gained experience working in a Minneapolis Newsroom as a News Intern for WCCO-CBS.
Jenna has lots of family in South Dakota, but is originally from Minnesota. South Dakota, and specifically Aberdeen, will always hold a special place in her heart. Her brother Curtis was attending Northern State as a Freshman and member of the Wresting team in 2018. Curtis unexpectedly passed away in his sleep from a previously undetected heart condition on October 17th, 2018. She’ll always be grateful for the support the Aberdeen community gave to her and her family during that time.
To honor Curtis, Jenna and her family started the Curtis LeMair Legacy Foundation. Their mission includes giving scholarships to athletes to help further their education after High School and to raise awareness and prevention of Sudden Cardiac Death in young adults, teens and children.
Jenna began working in Sioux Falls as a weekend Anchor and Reporter for KDLT in July of 2019. In her time here, she has found a passion for human-interest pieces and reporting on stories in smaller communities outside of Sioux Falls.
With interests in history, health and lifestyle, Jenna looks forward to diving into the many communities of South Dakota and telling the unique stories they have to offer.
