Kevin grew up in Oregon, where he graduated from Clackamas High School. He would then study at Clackamas Community College, before attending Washington State University. At Washington State, he would study broadcast journalism at the Edward R. Murrow College of Communications.
When he was younger, he played baseball and became a fan of many sports. His favorite teams are the Portland Trailblazers (NBA), Portland Timbers (MLS), Seattle Mariners (MLB), and the Seattle Seahawks (NFL).
Kevin joined the Dakota News Now team in 2020.
