7th annual Angels With A Dream Make-A-Wish event held at Great Bear

It was a busy day out at Great Bear for the 31st annual Frosty Frolics event in Sioux Falls.

Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation hosted a variety of events throughout Sioux Falls Friday through Sunday to celebrate the winter season.

Sunday the Homewood Suites Ski and Snowboard Races were held at Great Bear and benefits Angels With A Dream Make-A-Wish.

“It’s very important,” Angels With A Dream Make-A-Wish coordinator Roxie Johnson said. “The kids are just awesome kids and the families, they go through a lot. Just to help them out and make things a little bit easier for them it makes a person really feel great.”

“A lot of stuff that we've gotten to do through Make-A-Wish and through Angels With A Dream, just stuff that we as a family normally wouldn’t be able to do,” Make-A-Wish parent Michael Poncelet said. “She’ll never forget it and neither will we.”

A record 67 riders came out to Sunday’s seventh annual Angels With A Dream Make-A-Wish event and they raised $670.
