The CapX2020 Transmission Line system is officially up and running in South Dakota, Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin.

The project took 13 years, $2 billion and 11 utility partners to complete.

The 800 miles of transmission lines and substations will work as a renewable energy highway across the upper Midwest, paving the way for future wind farms in the region.

It is the largest development of new transmission in the area in over 40 years.
