SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - "This might be a record, four siblings in one show," Rose Ann Hofland said. She is the director of education and programing at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls.
The Jundt siblings from Chancellor are having a fun time preparing for 'Singin' in the Rain Jr.' at the Washington Pavilion.
"We have been rehearsing for 3 or 4 months now, so we have been at it for quite a while," Jevon Jundt said.
Two 17-year-old boys, Nathaniel who is almost 18 and Jevon, and 14-year-old twin girls Ariana and Thalia all have roles in the musical. They are home-schooled, and they say this is an extra-curricular activity they all can enjoy.
"I can meet new people, so it's really exciting for me," Jevon Jundt said.
The Jundts say it's a way for them to step out of their comfort zones too.
"My character is kind of stiff in a way, and I don't like to be stiff," Jevon said.
This is the twins first production at the Washington Pavilion. They say having each other by their sides is helpful.
"It helps because she is right next to me when we are singing," Ariana said.
"It is kind of fun, and it's kind of funny watching the younger ones try to take after me a little bit. It's kind of cool they want to do the exact same thing I want to do," Nathaniel Jundt said.
'Singin' in the Rain Jr.' will be at the Washington Pavilion May 3 & 4 at 7 p.m. and May 5 at 2 & 7 p.m. There will be a Sunday matinee April 6 at 2 p.m.
"I am going to be really nervous because this is our first play. We have never done this before and our brothers have. It's just going to be really fun," Ariana said.
'Singin' in the Rain Jr.' tickets are still available.
