A fire broke out at a house Tuesday morning just east of Dell Rapids at the intersection of 483rd Avenue and Jasper Street.
Lynn DeYoung, the director of emergency management for Minnehaha County, said firefighters are expected to be out there until at least 11:00 AM to finish cleaning up the damage.
No one was living in the home at the time the fire broke out. No one was hurt while putting out the fire as well.
Fire crews were able to keep it contained to the house and didn't let the flames spread to a neighboring garage.
They are investigating what caused this fire in the first place.
