A Sioux Falls man is facing assault charges after an alleged road rage incident on Interstate 229.
Police say 42-year-old Scott David McDaniel ran a motorcycle off the road with his pickup Monday afternoon.
Public Information Officer Sam Clemens says the driver of the motorcycle popped a wheelie on I-229, which upset McDaniel. Both vehicles turned off on Rice Street.
Clemens says McDaniel forced the driver of the motorcycle to the curb. When the motorcycle tried to re-enter the road, McDaniel blocked both lanes with his pickup.
The motorcycle crashed. The driver received a wrist injury and road rash.
McDaniel was arrested for aggravated assault and reckless driving.
Clemens said the driver of the motorcycle was also cited for reckless driving for popping a wheelie.
