Those who went to watch Christmas at the Western Mall over the weekend might have noticed something different.

That is because some of their equipment was stolen for the the display.

According to a Facebook post, the equipment the suspects stole Sunday took down the video portion of their display.

The show was able to quickly recover and went on with only a little bit of downtime.

The Facebook post was updated saying they had all the information they needed and thanked those who shared the post. A police report has been filed along with surveillance video.

KSFY News expects to hear more information from police later this week.

Christmas at the Western Mall is open through New Year's Day. It raises money for Make-A-Wish South Dakota with a goal of $25,000.
