Farm Rescue assisting Canton family with soybean harvest
Many farmers across the region are still busy with harvest, which is especially challenging this year for Dave Myers and his family.
The Canton-area farmer recently underwent hip replacement surgery, which led to an infection and additional complications. These issues have limited Myers' ability to complete his necessary farm work.
Farm Rescue says it is honored to be able to help the family with their soybean harvest.
The organization has helped nearly 600 families since its inception in 2006. Its mission is to help farmers and ranchers who have experienced a major illness, injury or natural disaster by providing the necessary equipment and manpower to plant, hay or harvest their crop.
Farm Rescue helps farm and ranch families in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska and Iowa.
