Father-son team to represent Pierre in 'Fireball Run'

A father-son team will represent Pierre during a reality TV competition this fall.

The Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday that Bryan and Trace Beck will participate in the Amazon Prime TV series "Fireball Run 2017: Big Country" with 39 other teams from across the country.

Pierre will be the location for Day 7 of the eight-day competition. Teams will seek out local attractions, compete in a variety of activities and enjoy the local flavor of the community.

“This is a once in a lifetime chance to promote economic development in Pierre and engage in an incredible eight days!” Trace Beck said in a press release. “We are excited to have this opportunity to build relationships with people who may have never considered coming to this area before.”

The Fireballers will be in Pierre on Sept. 29.

Rapid City will also be featured in the show.
