The first-ever Hindu temple in the Dakotas has set an opening date.
The grand opening of the
will take place Oct. 14. The temple is located at 45556 270th Street in Tea.
The temple was initially set to be open in August, but a rainy summer slowed down construction of the building.
Prior to this temple, Hindu followers had to travel more than 200 miles to the nearest temple.
The first Hindu service at the site, known as Bhoomi Pooja, was held in 2016.
