Free dental care event to be held in Sioux Falls for children

Children in need of dental services will have the opportunity for free care at a one-day event next month.

Sioux Falls Smiles will be held at the Children's Dental Center at 3813 S. Kiwanis Cir. beginning at 9 a.m on October 1.

Anyone 18 years old or younger is eligible to receive services such as cleanings, screenings and treatments by dentists and assistants who will donate their time to the event.

The goal is to provide care to at least 150 children who may not have gone to a dentist in years.

Children must be with a parent or legal guardian, and appointments will be done on a first come, first serve basis.
