'Jurassic Park' cinematographer to work on project in Sioux Falls
The man who made the dinosaurs in "Jurassic Park" look larger than life is coming to Sioux Falls for his next project.
Cinematographer Dean Cundey will be in the city Oct. 8-11 to shoot commercials.
He will be working with Top Secret Films, a Sioux Falls company with ties to Hollywood. The company was co-founded by Sioux Falls native Nick Simon -- who currently lives in Los Angeles but maintains working relationships in South Dakota -- and Rob Stiff.
"From the moment I got my first directing job in LA I began formulating a plan to bring that world back to my hometown. With Rob, that opportunity has become reality, and I'm excited to see Cundey work his magic in the Sioux Empire," Simon said in a press release Thursday.
Cundey's other credits include "Back to the Future," "Apollo 13" and "Halloween."
