Trump speaks at fundraising event for Noem in Sioux Falls
UPDATE, 5:30 p.m.
President Trump delivered a speech to a crowd of supporters at a fundraising event for Kristi Noem at the Sioux Falls convention center in Sioux Falls.
During his speech, Trump spoke on many topics he has focused on during his administration.
Trump began by thanking South Dakota for support during the election. He handily won South Dakota's three electoral votes in November of 2016.
Trump targeted Noem's opponent in the upcoming election for governor, Democrat Billie Sutton, saying he will raise taxes in South Dakota.
The president also reiterated his support for a wall between the United States and Mexico, saying the U.S. has some of the worst immigration laws in the world. He pointed to the effectiveness of Israel's wall with Palestine as a template for success.
Trump touched on several other familiar topics, including touting the success of the economy and calling out the "fake news" media for its lack of coverage on his successes.
He ended his speech with an endorsement for Noem, saying she is going to be a "great governor."
After the roughly half-hour speech, Trump's motorcade headed back to the Sioux Falls Regional Airport. Air Force One departed around 5:45 p.m.
Several Trump supporters greeted Trump at the airport and along the path of the motorcade to and from the convention center. A handful of protesters also greeted the president during his brief trip to Sioux Falls.
UPDATE, 3:30 p.m.
President Trump has arrived at the Sioux Falls convention center ahead of a planned fundraising event with South Dakota gubernatorial candidate Kristie Noem.
His motorcade arrived around 3:30 p.m. He is expected to meet with supporters and deliver remarks around 4:30 p.m.
The event is invitation-only.
Upon Trump's arrival at the Sioux Falls Regional Airport, he was greeted by Gov. Dennis Daugaard, along with a handful of supporters.
A couple dozen protesters gathered outside the the convention center, holding signs as Trump's motorcade drove by.

President Donald Trump has landed in Sioux Falls.
Trump landed at the Sioux Falls Regional Airport around 3:15 p.m. He was greeted by a delegation of South Dakota leaders, including Gov. Dennis Daugaard and Sen. John Thune.
Trump is in town to take part in a fundraising event for gubernatorial candidate Kristi Noem.

Donald Trump will make his first stop in Sioux Falls as president Friday afternoon.
Air Force One is expected to land in the city around 3 p.m. KSFY News will be there and will stream the landing live on air and online
Trump will then travel to the Sioux Falls Convention Center to host a roundtable with supporters before speaking at a private campaign event with Republican gubernatorial nominee Kristi Noem.
