We continue to follow developing news of a double homicide inside a home just north of Sioux Falls.

It happened just before 1 p.m. this afternoon on the 6200 block of North Cliff Avenue.

"Saw some cops pull up and didn't know what was going on," said neighbor, Jerry Hanson.

Authorities responding to a panic alarm pressed inside this home found two people dead.

'We came out to go check what was going on and the crime scene tape was up and everything already," added neighbor, Charles Rigg.

According to the Minnehaha County Sheriffs Office- police say a man was walking out of the trailer when police arrived--he was taken into custody.

"All I know is mom came to pick up son and some stuff was said," said family friend, Isaac Devries.

"We thought one of the neighbors might of got into a squabble or something or a fight," stated Rigg.

Neighbors say they think this was likely a domestic violence situation.

"I knew who lived there. We are not blood related but she has been part of our family for a very long time," said Devries.

Many people we spoke with say its a devastating blow for the entire neighborhood.

"We all know each other so it'll be all of us grieving a little bit," added Rigg.
