The craft brewing industry is expanding to Hartford.

Buffalo Ridge Brewing will open in downtown Hartford in the fall of 2018, Chamber of Commerce officials announced Monday.

The brewery will be newly constructed at 102 N. Main Ave. and will be a 4,000 square foot facility. The brewery will have a five barrel system with the capacity to brew 500 barrels per year with space and plans to expand to 1,500 barrels per year in the near future.

Owners Chris and Callie Tuschen and Damon and Krystal Sehr say the brewery will feature a rotating tap of 12-14 beers. A patio will be built on the front side of the building allowing beer enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy a brew outside.

A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Monday, June 11.
