Officials responding to sinkhole in Rapid City

A large sinkhole has led to a street closure in Rapid City.

The sinkhole emerged Thursday morning on Whitewood Street in the northwestern part of town, according to the city.

Several city departments, as well as Black Hills Power officials, are at the scene assessing the situation.

There have been no reports of any accidents or injuries associated with the sinkhole.
