Polar Plunge raises $70k for Special Olympics South Dakota
Despite the chilly spring air, people were lining up for a chance to jump in an outdoor pool at J & L Harley in Sioux Falls Saturday morning.
Some familiar KSFY faces jumped alongside more than 200 other participants a polar plunge supporting Special Olympics South Dakota.
“When you hit the water it’s like you can't get your breath basically until you get out,” polar plunge participant Evan Derdall said.
Derdall raised more than $2,800 before taking his icy jump Saturday morning. All of the polar plunge participants helped to raise more than $70,000 for Special Olympics South Dakota.
