Police in Sioux Falls are pleading with the community to stop leaving guns in cars after two more were stolen over the weekend.
Public Information Officer Sam Clemens said one gun was stolen from the 3300 block of S. Sundrop Avenue. The owner of the other gun did not know where the vehicle was parked when the gun was stolen.
"Please don't leave guns in cars," Clemens said during a media briefing Monday morning. "At this point, I don't know if it matters if it's locked or unlocked. If you're going to leave a gun in a car, just assume that it's going to be stolen."
Clemens said people should not leave any values in their car.
