Police: Man suffers medical event, causes vehicle accident

Sioux Falls Police say a man suffered a medical event, causing a vehicle accident on Friday afternoon.

Crew responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision at west 22nd Street and south Kiwanis Avenue.

After investigating police determined that the 61-year-old male driver of a 2018 Ford F-150 had a medical event while traveling southbound and collided with a 2017 Mercedes SUV which was northbound.

The driver of the Ford F-150 was transported to the hospital for medical issues unrelated to the collision. The other driver was not injured.
