A Sioux Falls man has been arrested for aggravated assault and reckless discharge of a firearm after police say he fired a handgun near his wife.
Public Information Officer Sam Clemens said officers arrived at the home around 6 p.m. Sunday evening.
Clemens said 39-year-old Justin Willard Cuchar and his wife of the same age had been arguing. Cuchar allegedly went into his bedroom, grabbed a handgun and fired it into the hallway.
Clemens said the wife called police, and Cuchar went down into the basement.
After two hours, Cuchar came out of the basement on his own, and officers arrested him.
