Police identify victim in fatal Sioux Falls stabbing

Authorities say an argument led to a stabbing that left one person dead in Sioux Falls.
Officers arrested 47-year-old Josephdeng Aganj Mamot of Yankton for the death of 39-year-old Akoat Mater on Sunday, according to police.
Police received a report of a stabbing just before 2 p..m. on N. Golden Nugget Avenue, which is just north of the Cliff Avenue. & I-90 interchange.
Mamot is charged with 1st Degree Murder, 2nd Degree Murder, and 2 counts of 1st Degree Manslaughter.
Police say one person is behind bars following a fatal stabbing in Sioux Falls.
Officers responded to a report of a stabbing at 1:57 p.m. Sunday at the 5800 block of North Gold Nugget Avenue.
According to Sgt. Sean Kooistra, police found the victim dead inside the home. The suspect was also located at the scene of the crime.
Police identified 47-year-old Josephdeng Aganj Mamot of Yankton as the suspect.
He was taken into custody and charged with 1st Degree Murder, 2nd Degree Murder, and 2 counts of 1st Degree Manslaughter.
No other details about the stabbing have been release. We expect to learn more details Monday morning.
