Police in Sioux Falls responded to 35 crashes Wednesday due to icy road conditions.

Public Information Officer Sam Clemens said the crashes happened between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Twelve of those crashes happened between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Though no serious injuries resulted from the crashes in Sioux Falls, a

happened on Interstate 90 near the Humboldt exit in Minnehaha County Wednesday afternoon.

Clemens wants to remind people to drive slower and leave more room between vehicles during wintry conditions.

Sioux Falls is expected to get between 5 and 8 inches of snow over the upcoming weekend.
